Detlef Wiederhöft on bass is sound engineer and producer looking back at more than 50 years in the music industry. He’s one of the founding
fathers of German Krautrock. Collaborating with production legend Conny Plank he was responsible for the sound of projects like Ultravox,
Eurythmics and Gianna Nannini.
Worldwide renowned drummer Manni von Bohr is another legend on the team. Still touring with Randy Hansen and Birth Control he responds to the moniker “Aristocratic Pope of Drums” as he was once named by a famous drumming magazine.
The versatile voice of singer Danny Richter spans over more than five octaves, and he received his musical education at the famous German boarding school Schulpforte.
Another cherry on the cake is the eclectic guitarist Phil “Rockdoc” Mitchell, a multi-instrumentalist with manifold creative approaches to the sound of his band colleagues. The Dirty Notez collaboration is often completed by guest musicians, such as Hardy Fischötter, Sergii Chernenko, Chantal Jansen, Tamara Sidorowa and many other local heroes.
Most of their gigs are improvised due to the fact that it's so hard to find time together for proper band rehearsals. Based on a conceptual harmony or riff they come up with the musical structure, feel and text on the fly. Lucky for the audience, they will never see the same gig twice, let alone hearing the same song again.
